Excellent Living with Cheryl Martin - Enriching, Empowering, Enlightening, and Encouraging
Many women don’t feel complete unless they have a man. What a woman yearns for is true, fulfilling and intense love, and unconditional acceptance in a relationship that will last forever. But most are looking in all the wrong places, at all the wrong men, for all the wrong reasons. That’s why most women easily fall under the spell of a man and his “love talk.” She melts. It can be all lies, but she melts anyway. She gives up sex in hopes of getting love. He gives “love talk” in hopes of getting sex. The game has been played for centuries. For many women, their self-esteem is rooted in being desired by the opposite sex. That’s why sometimes, out of fear and desperation, ANY man will do, even the wrong man with the “right” line. I know. That has happened to me.
Despite the lyrics of popular love songs, the only person who can produce the kind of love you want is Jesus. He is the only person who can meet that deep longing in your heart, and love you as you want to be loved. He is the only one with a perfect score in loving (He created the concept) and the only one who comes with this guarantee: “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). Only He promises to love us with an everlasting, unfailing love, warts and all. In fact, His love is so intense He died to prove it. Name another man whose love for a woman caused him to die on a cross for her. Now, that’s some kind of loving!
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so we could experience life abundantly, to the full. To no longer be ruled by sin and our selfish desires, but by Christ living in us, changing us from the inside out.
By relishing in God’s love for us and loving Him in return, we can replace our insecurities with His security and our perceived flaws with His acceptance. In His eyes, “we are fearfully and wonderfully made,” a fragrance of beauty.
Do you want to experience this amazing love that will last forever?
You can. Today. Right now. Here’s how:
Believe that all of us are imperfect, doing or saying things that are wrong and displease God. This is called sin, and the simplest definition is, “missing God’s mark.” Sin separates us from God. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Believe that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation (a right relationship with God), to connect with God, and that he offers the gift of eternal life. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.” (John 6:47)
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your life as your Savior and Lord. You can pray something like this:
"Dear God, I recognize that on my own I can’t experience the fulfilled life you want me to have. I have displeased you in many ways because of my sinful choices. I believe that you died for my sins. You said in your Word, that if I confess my sins you are faithful and just to forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all wrongdoing. I want to turn from All my sins. I ask you to come into my life and forgive me of all my sins…small and great. By faith, I know that you have and I am now your child. Thank you, Lord, for saving me."
This is the first step of a wonderful journey of life with Christ. I have never regretted my decision to give my life to Him. My relationship with Him is the most gratifying aspect of my life. “We are complete in Him.” (Colossians 1:10)
